Built in the picturesque Kelvingrove Park in 1924, the newly refurbished Kelvingrove Bandstand and Amphitheatre is our newest venue for hire.
This fantastic outdoor venue in the west end of the city offers a unique open air performance space in the idyllic grounds of Kelvingrove Park beside the River Kelvin within the Glasgow University quarter.
The Bandstand is an ideal location to host a variety of events from live music and dance, to theatre, comedy, film screenings, spoken word recitals and much more. If using the space at full capacity hirers are required to bring in additional infrastructure. You can hire this from our in house technical department.
The Bandstand has already played host to Festival 2014, the cultural programme running alongside the XX Commonwealth Games, as well as Regular Music’s Magners Summer Nights 2014 which included performances from Squeeze, Teenage Fanclub, Capercaillie, Alison Moyet, Stephen K Amos and more. This year we welcome Regular Music Magner's Summer Nights back again and look forward to performances from Glasvegas, Echo and The Bunnymen, Joan Armatrading, King Creosote, Ben Folds and Roddy Frame.
If you are planning an event and looking for a location with a ‘wow’ factor, look no further than this unique venue with endless quirky charm, set within a spectacular outdoor setting.
